Rapid Transfer casinos
Rapid Transfer is Skrill's instant bank transfer, part of Paysafe Group: you pay from your own online banking instead of a card. We're checking the cashiers of UK Gambling Commission-licensed casinos one by one, logged in, and the casino list fills in as each check is done.

Which Rapid Transfer Casinos Are Licensed in the UK?
Rapid Transfer casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission join this table once our logged-in check finds Rapid Transfer in their cashier. Our first audit is still running, so there are no casinos in it yet.
| Casino | UKGC licence | Where Rapid Transfer shows | Min deposit | Bonus-eligible | Payout route | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audit in progress | – | – | – | – | – | Pending |
We only list casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. And we’ll never fill the table with casinos licensed in Curaçao, Anjouan or anywhere else offshore, even if it stays short.
What Is a Rapid Transfer Casino?
A Rapid Transfer casino is an online casino whose cashier offers Rapid Transfer, and we list only the UK-licensed ones. Rapid Transfer is Skrill’s instant bank transfer, part of Paysafe Group, so you pay from your own online banking instead of a card. Skrill Quick Checkout is Skrill’s checkout for merchants, and casinos add Rapid Transfer through it under payment code OBT. But a casino has to be onboarded with Skrill before it can take Rapid Transfer. Rapid Transfer is also one of the payment options at instant bank transfer casinos.
Who Owns Rapid Transfer?
Rapid Transfer is part of Paysafe Group. Skrill, a Paysafe digital wallet, provides Rapid Transfer.
- In the UK, Skrill Limited provides Rapid Transfer under its terms of use. Skrill Limited is registered in England and Wales (company 04260907), and its terms give its FCA e-money register number as 900001.
- From 1 February 2027, Paysafe Financial Services Limited (company 04478861; FCA number 900015, per the terms) takes over as the UK provider. Nothing else in Skrill’s Rapid Transfer terms changes.
- Behind the casino checkout, Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, registered in Ireland (company 626665), trades as Skrill, Skrill Quick Checkout and Rapid Transfer. The Central Bank of Ireland regulates it.
Paysafe launched the Rapid Transfer brand on 8 September 2016. Skrill’s Quick Checkout guide says Rapid Transfer was previously called Skrill Direct.
Which Countries and Banks Does Rapid Transfer Support?
Rapid Transfer supports the UK, where you pay in pounds. Skrill lists 15 countries and more than 170 connected banks: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the UK. You’ll see whether your bank is one of them when you pay, because the Rapid Transfer page asks you to choose it.
Older pages often say 7 countries and 100+ banks. But those figures date from the 2016 launch, when Rapid Transfer covered the UK, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Hungary and Spain.
What Are Rapid Transfer’s Fees and Limits?
Skrill’s Rapid Transfer terms set no Skrill fee for paying a casino, though your bank may charge.
| Payment | Fee | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Paying a casino by Rapid Transfer | No Skrill fee; your bank may charge | Verified 2 Nov |
| Topping up a Skrill wallet by Rapid Transfer | 1% | Verified 2 Nov |
| Topping up a Skrill wallet by bank transfer | 0% | Verified 2 Nov |
Skrill’s Rapid Transfer terms don’t state a payment limit either. If you top up a Skrill wallet, though, Skrill shows your Rapid Transfer limit in the Add section of your account. And each casino’s deposit limits are in its own terms, which our audit records.
How Does a Rapid Transfer Casino Deposit Work?
A Rapid Transfer deposit takes three steps.
Choose Rapid Transfer in the casino cashier, then pick your bank.
Log in to your online banking on the Rapid Transfer page.
Confirm the payment.
Your bank can ask for an extra security code by text message, one-time password or its app. Skrill says Rapid Transfer doesn’t store your online banking details.
Two things are worth knowing before you confirm.
- You can’t cancel a Rapid Transfer payment once you’ve given consent.
- Skrill may share your account name and the last 4 digits of your account number with the casino.
On the casino’s side, the payment runs through Skrill Quick Checkout under payment code OBT.
How Do Rapid Transfer Casino Withdrawals Work?
Rapid Transfer withdrawals are only possible where the casino has switched Rapid Transfer payouts on. When it has, a Rapid Transfer withdrawal goes back to the bank account you deposited from.
Nowhere else.
Our Rapid Transfer withdrawal guide covers the status steps, timing and what to do when a casino won’t pay out this way.
What Are Rapid Transfer’s Pros and Cons at Casinos?
With Rapid Transfer you log in to your own bank instead of giving the casino card details, but you can’t cancel a payment once you’ve consented.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| No card details: you log in to your own bank | Listed by name mostly at offshore casinos, which we don’t list |
| 170+ banks in 15 countries, including the UK in GBP | You can’t cancel a payment once you’ve consented |
| No Skrill fee in the terms for paying a casino | Withdrawals only where the casino switches them on |
| Your bank’s own security checks apply | Winnings can only return to the account you paid from |
Where Is Rapid Transfer Listed by Name?
Rapid Transfer is listed by name mostly at casinos licensed in Curaçao and Anjouan, and we don’t list those casinos. So how often does Rapid Transfer appear at UK-licensed casinos? That’s what our audit measures: it records where Rapid Transfer appears in every UK cashier it checks.
How Is Rapid Transfer Different From the Skrill Wallet, Trustly and paysafecard?
Rapid Transfer takes the money from your bank account when you pay, while the Skrill wallet spends your Skrill balance. Trustly and paysafecard are separate payment methods, not versions of Rapid Transfer.
Rapid Transfer isn’t Trustly, which is a separate Swedish pay-by-bank company. Rapid Transfer also isn’t Ecobank Rapidtransfer, a money-transfer service between Europe and Africa, or Transfer Rapid, a separate company with a similar name. And Rapid Transfer isn’t paysafecard: search results for “paysafe casino” are about paysafecard, not Rapid Transfer.
Rapid Transfer vs the Skrill Wallet
| Rapid Transfer | Skrill wallet | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the money comes from | Your bank account, when you pay | Your Skrill balance |
| Skrill login | None in the payment steps | Yes |
| Skrill fee to pay a casino | None in the terms | No transaction fee |
| Withdrawals | Only to the bank account you paid from | Set by each casino |
Can Rapid Transfer Top Up a Skrill or Neteller Wallet?
Yes. Rapid Transfer tops up Skrill and Neteller wallets. A Rapid Transfer top-up of a Skrill wallet costs 1%. When you pay with Rapid Transfer, you can earn Knect, Skrill’s loyalty points.
What Can Replace Rapid Transfer at UK Casinos?
When a casino doesn’t offer Rapid Transfer, the closest replacements are another instant bank transfer, the Skrill wallet or a debit card. Credit cards are out, because the UK Gambling Commission banned gambling on credit cards from 14 April 2020.
So if you want to pay from your bank through Skrill’s wallet, top the wallet up by Rapid Transfer first. Our list of Skrill casinos shows which UK-licensed casinos take Skrill.
Do Rapid Transfer Deposits Count for Casino Bonuses?
Each casino’s bonus terms decide whether a Rapid Transfer deposit counts. Our audit quotes the payment rules from every casino in the table. But until we’ve checked a casino, read its bonus terms for excluded payment methods before you deposit.
Is Rapid Transfer Safe for Casino Payments?
Rapid Transfer uses your bank’s own security and login checks, so the casino never gets your card details or banking login. Skrill says it doesn’t store your online banking details.
| Safety fact | Detail | Status |
|---|---|---|
| UK provider | Skrill Limited, FCA e-money register 900001 (from Skrill’s terms; the FCA register entry isn’t read yet) | Checked 2 Nov |
| Open Banking | Skrill Limited is in the UK Open Banking directory of regulated providers | Checked 28 Oct |
| Checkout entity | Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland | Checked 28 Oct |
Why Does a Rapid Transfer Payment Fail?
A Rapid Transfer payment can fail when the casino hasn’t switched Rapid Transfer on, your bank isn’t one of the connected banks, the account isn’t in your name, there isn’t enough money in it, or you’ve hit a casino deposit limit. Here’s who to contact about each problem.
| Problem | Who to contact |
|---|---|
| Rapid Transfer isn’t in the cashier | The casino |
| Your bank isn’t on the list | Nobody: choose another method |
| The account isn’t in your name | Nobody: use an account in your own name |
| Not enough money in the account | Your bank, if the balance looks wrong |
| A casino deposit limit | The casino |
| The money left your bank, but the casino shows nothing | Your bank, then the casino |
The Casino Hasn’t Switched On Rapid Transfer
A casino takes Rapid Transfer only once Skrill has onboarded it. So if you can’t find Rapid Transfer in the cashier, ask the casino.
Your Bank Isn’t on Rapid Transfer’s List
Rapid Transfer connects to more than 170 banks. But if your bank isn’t offered on the Rapid Transfer page, you’ll need another payment method.
The Bank Account Isn’t in Your Name
Skrill can refuse a payment when you aren’t the named holder of the bank account. Pay from an account in your own name.
There Isn’t Enough Money in the Account
Skrill can also refuse a payment that’s likely to fail, for example when there isn’t enough money in the account.
You’ve Hit a Casino Deposit Limit
If the cashier says you’ve reached a deposit limit, contact the casino.
What If Rapid Transfer Took the Money but the Casino Shows Nothing?
Your bank makes the Rapid Transfer payment within the timeframes you’ve agreed with it. So if the money has left your account and the casino still shows nothing, tell your bank as soon as possible. Skrill’s Rapid Transfer terms say a payment you didn’t authorise, or one that went wrong, should be reported to the bank you paid from. Then contact the casino with the date and amount.
If you want to stop gambling, GAMSTOP lets you self-exclude from online gambling operators with one request, and every UK-licensed online casino must take part. Free help is on 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day, or at GambleAware.
